Modules in GRE

  • Verbal Reasoning

    This section measures your ability to understand written material, evaluate arguments, ad analyse and draw conclusions from discourse. It includes three types of questions: reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence.

  • Quantitative Reasoning

    This section measures your ability to understand, interpret, and analyse quantitative information and to solve problems using mathematical concepts.

  • Analytical Writing

    This section measures your ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, support your ideas with relevant reasons and examples, and examine claims and accompanying evidence. It includes two tasks: Analyse an Issue and Analyse an Argument. The Analytical Writing section consists of two tasks, with 30 minutes allotted for each task.

In addition to three main sections, the GRE General Test may also include an unscored research section or an unscored experimental section that is used to try out new test questions. These sections are not identified and can appear in any order after the Analytical Writing section.

How to book GRE slot

02 Select the test date and location

03 Pay the test fee

After you have paid the test fee, you will receive a confirmation email with your test date, time, and location.
