Modules in PTE

Speaking and Writing
This module consists of six tasks that measure a test taker’s ability to speak and write in English. The tasks include speaking into a microphone, reading aloud, summarizing spoken text, writing an essay, and responding to short answer questions.

Reading
This module consists of five tasks that measure a test taker’s ability to read and understand academic English. The tasks include multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, and re-ordering paragraphs.

Listening
This module consists of wight tasks that measure a test taker’s ability to listen to and understand academic English. The tasks include multiple choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, and summarizing spoken tests.
Each module is scored separately, and test takers receive a score report that includes their overall score as well as their scores for each individual module. The exam takes approximately 3 hours to complete and is taken on a computer at a Pearson test centre.
How to book PTE slot
Create a Pearson account by going to the the Pearson website. Fill in your personal details and select your preferred test center and date.
Choose your exam test enter: Once you have created your account, you can select the PTE Academic exam and the test center you wish to take it at.
Check available dates and times: Select a date and time that works for you, based on the availability at your chosen test center.
Pay for the exam: Once you have selected your exam date and time, you will need to pay the exam fee using a credit or debit card. The fee varies depending on your location.
Receive confirmation: After you have paid for the exam, you will receive a confirmation email that includes your exam details, such as your test center location and start time.
